(a) (i) Moisture in air dissolve HA and reacts with sodium hydrogencarbonate. Then, it will be useless. (a) (ii) NaHCO3(aq) + HA(aq) -> H2O(l) + CO2(g) + NaA(aq) (a) (iii) CO2 released in the reaction can raise the dough and make the cake spongy. (b) Treat acid burn.
